You might have read on our career’s page that “we believe that without strong and passionate leaders, we cannot succeed”. At Orrcon, all leaders and emerging leaders are given the opportunity to learn and grow through structured training programs. In recent times, we have partnered with Development Dimensions International (DDI) to offer a structured leadership development program customised to our business. This program is called ‘Future Success @ Orrcon Steel’.
The program focuses on 4 key leadership areas; Setting goals and reviewing results, coaching for peak performance, communicating for leadership success, and delegating with purpose. These topics have been delivered in a classroom training environment to many leaders throughout the business by DDI facilitators, and plans are in place to upskill Orrcon employees to continue delivering this customised training in the future. The training gives employees the knowledge and tools, as well as an opportunity to practice them in a controlled classroom environment so that they can take what they learn back and apply it practically on the job.
In addition to the Future Success program, we have several other leadership programs available through Orrcon Steel or our parent company BlueScope. These include Active Supervision, Leader and Manager Essentials, Safety Leadership, Project Management, and Inclusive Leadership.
